20+ weeks

well, i said i would try to get some pictures up this week, and here is what the baby now looks like (inside my stomach of course...)

Getting bigger huh? The baby moves around a lot more now too. Just recently i have started to kinda push around a little bit just to see what i can feel in there, and I made Russ do it last night, and I am pretty sure we probably irritated the little thing. And we felt lots of "unknown" things, shoulders, or legs perhaps... but it was still pretty neat.

I am still very aware of my changing body, and I have to say, that buying a maternity bathing suit wasn't really something I ever thought I would do. I mean, when you think about getting pregnant and having babies, you only think about the before and after part (well at least I did anyways) I never really thought about the little things in between, like not being able to wear cute bikinis to the beach... Seriously, last time I went to the beach was on my honeymoon almost two years ago, and not that I am anywhere close to supermodel status, but who doesn't feel sexy on their honeymoon? But now, I am hoping that I won't gross anyone out too much at the beach next week...
But the positive thing here is that at least I got a cute bathing suit. So even if my pale expanding body looks disgusting, my swimsuit will still be cute! Here it is: not on me of course but on the cute supermodel who probably isn't really pregnant...

Well that is it for now, like I said in a previous post, I am heading to Texas all next week, leaving Friday, and returning next Saturday, and just days after that, we find out what our baby is! So that will be my next very exciting post!

In conclusion: I am very glad that everything is bigger in Texas, maybe my bathing suit will fit right in.

20 weeks, new appointments, and kicking babies!

well, it seems as though i will be going out of town (on vacation to corpus christi, texas... without my husband... boo...) so we had to reschedule my ultrasound appointment that was originally scheduled on my birthday the 15th... our new appointment is on April 20th.

And for a very exciting update, I felt the baby actually kick me last thursday. It was in the middle of the night, and russ was already asleep, and i was still awake just laying on the couch on the laptop, and all of a sudden the little thing just kicked me right in the side, TWICE! I ran into the bedroom to wake Russ up, but apparently he didn't remember the next day...
I haven't felt anymore hard kicks but i have felt the little fluttering feeling lots more (right now as I post this as a matter of fact) It definitely tickles a little bit...

I will be posting more pics of the growing baby before I go out of town this friday.

I can't believe I am already 20 weeks, that means I am only 20 more weeks from meeting our very first baby!

And just so we can get some feedback on "the naming process" I thought I would share our thoughts on what we have come up with for the new baby.

We have for sure decided on a boy name:
Grady Jack Burnett.
"Grady" after Russ's granddad, and "Jack" after my Nanny (my grandmom) whose name isn't technically Jack, but it is her life long nickname.

And we are still up in the air about a girl name, we both like Kennedy a lot, we also like Laine for a middle name, and I like Ryann, but Russ isn't really fond of that one. I just can't make up my mind on a girl name...
Let me know what you think! This is going to be their name FOREVER!
